Lynn Glixon Ditchfield’s Expertise Lynn Ditchfield, Ph.D., C.A.G.S., Ed.M. M.A. has taught in urban and rural schools (including international), pre-school to university. She received the Arts/Learning Award for advocacy, the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award, served as a Fulbright Exchange teacher in Argentina, appeared in three editions of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, founded and directed Adult and Community Education of Martha’s Vineyard (ACE MV now MV CET), and is a Vision Fellow and mentor. Her first master’s degree was on the critical and creative thinking approach of Brazilian educator Paulo Freire; and her second Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education focused on arts-based approaches for at-risk youth. She is the creator, writer, and editor of Borders to Bridges: Arts-Based Curriculum for Social Justice–Belonging, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Sovereignty, Reciprocity, and co-coordinator of pilot programs in the US, Canada, and South America. Her recent work includes her doctoral dissertation for the European Graduate School Arts, Health and Society Doctoral Division, Arts-Based Creativity Approach to Transformative Learning; the article “Borders to Bridges: Awakening Critical Consciousness;” essays Nightmares and Dreams: Immigrant Voices from Inside Detention; and Visionary Voices: Manual for Social Justice Education. Lynn works as a writer, workshop facilitator, and adjunct professor of education. website.
